Who is SOS Tyre?

SOS Tyre is a mobile tyre assistance service operating in Milan 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Sundays and public holidays. You don't need to take your car to a garage: we come to you, set off as soon as you call and get you back on the road in no time.

We provide roadside tyre assistance, a mobile tyre fitter service, on-the-spot repairs where technically possible and wheel changes. By appointment we also carry out non-urgent jobs and tyre changes at your door, including the seasonal changeover, at home or at your company's premises. We work on cars, motorbikes, SUVs, vans, electric and hybrid cars, and we work with a number of businesses and company fleets, taxis and private hire (NCC) operators.

Our base is at Via Enrico Cosenz 63, 20158 Milan, in the Bovisa area. Customers who have already called us rate us 4.9/5 on Google, with over 260 reviews.

Where do we operate?

We cover Milan and its 9 Municipi (city districts), the whole Metropolitan City and the municipalities of the neighbouring provinces: Monza e Brianza, Varese, Como, Bergamo, Cremona, Lodi, Pavia and Novara. We come to wherever your vehicle is: on the street, outside your home, at the office, in a car park or in a garage.

Every area has its own quirks, from the residential underground garages of the city centre to the main arterial roads of the outskirts. You'll find the details on the areas we cover page.

How do we work?

We always follow the same process, designed so you don't waste time and so there are no false expectations.

  1. We listen: by phone or on WhatsApp you tell us where you are, what vehicle you have and what has happened to the tyre.
  2. We assess: with the tyre size and, if you can, a photo of the damage, we work out what is likely to be possible.
  3. We tell you what we can do and set off straight away: on the phone we also tell you when we'll arrive.
  4. We work on the spot: we inspect the tyre and, depending on the damage, repair it where technically possible or fit the spare wheel.
  5. We explain what we've done and whether any follow-up checks are needed.

If you'd like to get started right away, fill in the assistance request.

What principles do we follow?

Safety first

Your safety comes before the tyre. When you call us, the first thing we check is that you've stopped somewhere safe; if you haven't, we help you work out what to do. You'll also find advice in the guide how to stay safe after a puncture.

Transparency

We tell you on the phone what's possible before we set off. If, from your description or photos, the tyre looks unrepairable, we tell you straight away, without promising what we can't guarantee. The final assessment is made on the spot, after inspecting the tyre.

No made-up information

We don't improvise: we don't make up sizes or availability. If something depends on your vehicle or the tyre manufacturer, we tell you so and check it.

Why a mobile service?

A mobile service matters because a flat tyre often makes it unsafe to drive to a garage. Driving on a flat damages both the tyre and the rim and reduces the vehicle's stability (see can you drive on a flat tyre?).

What's more, tyre problems don't keep office hours: they happen at night, on Sundays, in August. That's why we operate 24/7 and come out straight away, as we explain on the 24/7 tyre service in Milan page.
