Which areas of Milan does SOS Tyre cover?

We cover the entire city of Milan, which is divided administratively into 9 Municipi. It doesn't matter whether you're right in the centre, in a residential neighbourhood or out on the edge of the city: we come to wherever the vehicle is, whether that's on the street, outside your home, in the office car park or in an underground garage.

The service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Sundays and bank holidays. When you call we set off straight away and tell you on the phone when we'll arrive: the aim is to get you back on the road in next to no time.

The boundaries between Municipi don't matter to us: the pages below are only there to help you recognise your area and describe more clearly where you are.

And we don't stop at the city limits: we also cover the whole Metropolitan City of Milan and the towns of the neighbouring provinces (Monza e Brianza, Varese, Como, Bergamo, Cremona, Lodi, Pavia and Novara). You'll find the full list on the areas we cover page.

How do you tell us your exact location?

The most accurate way is to share your GPS location on WhatsApp on +39 377 326 0999. Otherwise, on the phone we just need a few clear details:

  1. Street and nearest house number, or the junction between two streets.
  2. Which side of the road you're on and your direction of travel, if you're on a multi-lane avenue or one with a service road.
  3. A visible landmark: a metro stop, a station, a hospital, a shop sign, a square.
  4. The vehicle: model, colour and, if you like, the number plate, so we can spot you straight away.
  5. Any access details: inner courtyard, barrier, entry phone, pedestrian zone or restricted traffic zone.

If you prefer, you can also send us everything through the assistance request form, which takes you step by step through location, vehicle, problem, tyre size and photos.

Are you in an underground garage or a multi-storey car park?

Underground, GPS often doesn't work, so describe the way in to us in words. Many residential garages and public car parks in Milan are on several levels, and the location shared by your phone may only show the entrance or a rough position.

  • Give us the address of the vehicle entrance (sometimes it's on a different street from the building itself).
  • Tell us the level and the garage or parking space number.
  • Let us know if you need a remote, a pass or a ticket to get in, and whether someone can open up for us.
  • Mention any height restrictions at the entrance.

For call-outs in garages and courtyards you'll find more details on the page about our mobile tyre fitter in Milan.

Where is SOS Tyre based?

SOS Tyre is based at Via Enrico Cosenz 63, 20158 Milano, in the Bovisa area, in Municipio 9. The service is mobile, though: we come straight to wherever your vehicle is, in any part of the city and across the province too.

That's why you don't need to move the car on a flat tyre: driving on a deflated tyre damages its structure and often the wheel rim as well. If you've stopped, read what to do with a flat tyre and give us a call.

What should you do while you wait at the roadside?

Make yourself safe first of all: switch on your hazard lights, pull over if possible somewhere you won't block traffic, and stay off the carriageway.

  • If you're on tram tracks or in a bus and taxi lane, tell us straight away: it's important information.
  • If you've stopped on the ring road (tangenziale), use the hard shoulder, get out on the crash-barrier side and stay behind the barrier; don't cross the carriageway.
  • Use the warning triangle where required and, outside built-up areas, the high-visibility vest (both are legal requirements in Italy).

The full procedure is in our guide on how to stay safe after a puncture.

Frequently asked questions

Does SOS Tyre cover every neighbourhood in Milan?

Yes. SOS Tyre operates across the whole city of Milan, in each of the 9 Municipi, from the historic centre to the outermost neighbourhoods. The service runs 24/7, including at night, on Sundays and on bank holidays, and also covers the surrounding area and neighbouring provinces. Call +39 377 326 0999 or send your location on WhatsApp.

How do I send my location to SOS Tyre?

The most accurate way is to share your GPS location on WhatsApp at +39 377 326 0999. If you can't, tell us the street and house number, which side of the road you're on, a visible landmark and the model and colour of the vehicle. In a garage, also give us the level and the garage number.

Do I have to bring the car to your base in Bovisa?

No. SOS Tyre is based at Via Enrico Cosenz 63 (Bovisa), but the service is mobile: we come to wherever the vehicle is, on the street, at home, at the office or in a garage. Avoid driving on a flat tyre, as you risk ruining both the tyre and the wheel rim.

Do you also come out to underground residential garages?

Yes, we also work in garages and lock-ups, as long as there's room to work safely. Since GPS often doesn't work underground, give us the address of the vehicle entrance, the level, the garage number and how to get in (remote, pass, entry phone). Please also mention any height restrictions.

How long will it take you to reach my area?

The average arrival time is 30 minutes; we set off as soon as you call and tell you on the phone straight away when we'll arrive. We answer +39 377 326 0999 at any hour; once on site the job is quick and we get you back on the road in next to no time.
