Which neighbourhoods of Municipio 2 do we cover?

We cover the whole of Municipio 2, the north-east quarter of Milan stretching from Stazione Centrale out to Crescenzago. The main areas are:

  • Stazione Centrale, with Piazza Duca d'Aosta and the streets around the railway yard.
  • Loreto and NoLo, the area north of Piazzale Loreto between viale Monza and via Padova.
  • Turro, Gorla and Precotto, along viale Monza and the Naviglio della Martesana canal.
  • Greco, the historic neighbourhood beyond the railway.
  • Crescenzago, along via Palmanova and the Martesana, towards the city's eastern boundary.

Which main roads can you use as a reference?

Municipio 2 is crossed by long radial roads starting from Piazzale Loreto. Telling us which one you're on and which way you're heading lets us find you straight away.

  • Viale Monza: runs north above the red M1 line (stops Loreto, Turro, Gorla, Precotto).
  • Via Padova: long and busy, with lots of junctions; always give us the house number.
  • Via Palmanova: the road heading east, followed by the green M2 line (Cimiano, Crescenzago, Cascina Gobba), towards the Tangenziale Est ring road.
  • Via Melchiorre Gioia and viale Brianza, in the part close to Centrale.

On avenues with a service road, tell us whether you're on the main carriageway or the side road: it completely changes the point from which we reach you.

Have you had a puncture near Stazione Centrale?

Around Centrale, tell us precisely which side of the station you're on. The area is large, with squares, underpasses, taxi ranks and reserved lanes, and "I'm at Centrale" isn't enough for us to find you.

  • Tell us whether you're in Piazza Duca d'Aosta (in front of the station), on Piazza IV Novembre, on via Vittor Pisani or along one of the sides of the railway yard.
  • If you're in a station car park, give us its name, the level and the space.
  • If you're a taxi or private hire (NCC) driver stopped in a reserved waiting area, let us know: for fleets we have a dedicated page on our services for taxis and NCC.

Don't stay stopped in a reserved lane if you can move a few metres at walking pace to a safe spot.

How do you give your location along the Martesana and in the parks?

Along the Naviglio della Martesana and near parks, share your GPS location, because addresses can be unclear. Between Gorla and Crescenzago the Martesana is flanked by a cycle path and narrow streets, and some access points are for pedestrians and bikes only.

  • Tell us the nearest bridge or side street to where you are.
  • If you're near Parco Trotter or other green spaces, tell us which entrance or street you're by.
  • If you're on an e-bike or a motorbike stopped on the cycle path, move to the side so you don't block the way.

What should you do if you stop near the Tangenziale Est?

If you stop on the ring road (tangenziale), your safety comes first: hard shoulder, high-visibility vest and stay behind the crash barrier. From Municipio 2, via Palmanova leads to the Tangenziale Est junctions.

  1. Pull over onto the hard shoulder or into a lay-by, with your hazard lights on.
  2. Put on your high-visibility vest before getting out, and get out on the crash-barrier side.
  3. Place the warning triangle only if you can do so without risk, then stay behind the barrier.
  4. Call us on +39 377 326 0999, telling us your direction, the last junction you passed and the kilometre marker if you can see one. If you're in danger, call 112.

How does SOS Tyre work in Municipio 2?

We work on the street, outside your home, in courtyards or in garages, 24/7, with the equipment to assess the damage and, if technically possible, repair the tyre on the spot. Otherwise we fit your spare wheel or space-saver.

If your car has no spare wheel, replacement with a new tyre needs to be checked on the phone depending on size and availability. Call +39 377 326 0999: we set off as soon as you call, tell you straight away when we'll arrive and get you back on the road in next to no time.

Frequently asked questions

Do you come out to the car parks at Milan Stazione Centrale?

Yes, SOS Tyre also operates in the car parks around Stazione Centrale, as long as there's room to work safely. Give us the name of the car park, the level and the space number, and tell us if a ticket is needed to get in. Underground, GPS often doesn't work, so the description is essential.

I'm on viale Monza with a flat tyre: what do I do?

Switch on your hazard lights and, if it's safe, move at walking pace into the service road or somewhere you won't block traffic. Then call +39 377 326 0999, giving the house number, your direction of travel and the nearest M1 stop, for example Turro, Gorla or Precotto.

Do you also cover Crescenzago and the Cascina Gobba area?

Yes, we cover the whole of Municipio 2 up to the city boundary, including Crescenzago and the Cascina Gobba area along via Palmanova. Beyond the boundary we also cover the surrounding towns. If you're near the junctions for the Tangenziale Est, tell us precisely whether you're still on a city street or already on the ring road.

I got a puncture in a courtyard on via Padova: can you get in?

Yes, if access allows. Many buildings on via Padova have inner courtyards with a vehicle entrance: tell us the exact house number, whether there's a gate or a barrier, how it opens and how wide the passage is. A photo of the entrance on WhatsApp helps us prepare.
