Which neighbourhoods of Municipio 6 do we cover?
We cover the whole of Municipio 6, Milan's south-western sector from the Navigli canals out to the city boundary. The main areas are:
- Navigli and Darsena, along the Naviglio Grande and the Naviglio Pavese.
- Porta Genova and Tortona, with the station and the design district.
- Solari and San Cristoforo, heading west along the Naviglio Grande.
- Giambellino and Lorenteggio, along the two streets of the same names.
- Barona and Famagosta, to the south, between viale Famagosta and via Ludovico il Moro.
- Ronchetto sul Naviglio, at the far western end of the Naviglio Grande.
Which streets and landmarks to use in Lorenteggio, Giambellino and Barona?
The main roads are via Lorenteggio, via Giambellino, via Solari, viale Famagosta and via Ludovico il Moro. These also make excellent reference points:
- The M4 stops along via Lorenteggio, such as Frattini, Tolstoj and Bolivar, out to the San Cristoforo terminus.
- The M2 stops Porta Genova, Romolo and Famagosta.
- Ospedale San Paolo, in the Barona area.
- IULM university, in the Romolo area.
- MUDEC, on via Tortona.
On the outer ring road (for example viale Cassala), tell us your direction of travel and whether you're on the main carriageway or the side road.
Are you in a garage or courtyard in the area?
In the courtyards and garages of Municipio 6, describe the way in carefully, because it often goes through entrance halls and narrow vehicle entrances. Many historic buildings along the Navigli and in Porta Genova have inner courtyards, while in Lorenteggio and Barona underground residential garages are common.
- Address of the vehicle entrance and its approximate width.
- Level and garage number, if you're underground.
- Who can open up for us, and how.

How does SOS Tyre work in Municipio 6?
We come out straight away, 24/7, to wherever the vehicle is, whether it's a car, a scooter or a motorbike parked along the Navigli. We assess the damage and, if technically possible, repair the tyre on the spot; otherwise we fit the spare wheel or space-saver.
If the car has run-flat tyres, you can drive a limited distance at reduced speed according to the manufacturer's instructions, but it's better to stop somewhere convenient and call us on +39 377 326 0999. Replacement with a new tyre needs to be checked on the phone depending on size and availability.
Frequently asked questions
I've had a puncture on Alzaia Naviglio Grande in the evening: can you get here?
Yes, SOS Tyre operates 24/7 along the Navigli too. Since the towpath streets are narrow and, at certain times, very crowded or restricted to traffic, tell us which bank you're on and the nearest bridge. We'll work out together the safest spot for the job.
How do I give you my location on via Lorenteggio?
Via Lorenteggio is very long: give us the house number, your direction of travel (towards the centre or outwards) and the nearest M4 stop, for example Frattini, Tolstoj or Bolivar. Alternatively, share your GPS location on WhatsApp at +39 377 326 0999.
Can you still come out during design week in the Tortona area?
Yes, but on event days some streets may be closed or fenced off. When you call, tell us about any closures around you and whether you know a nearby spot reachable by car. We set off as soon as you call and tell you on the phone straight away when we'll arrive.
Do you also repair tyres on scooters parked in Porta Genova?
Yes, we also work on motorbikes and scooters. Tell us where the vehicle is parked, the model and the tyre size if you know it, and send us a photo of the tyre on WhatsApp. We'll assess whether a repair on the spot is possible.
